How to Navigate the Waikato Community & Accessible Transport Map
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to navigate the Waikato Community & Accessible Transport Map. The map allows you to view Community Transport and Total Mobility providers operating in your area, as well as details on how to contact them.
- Navigating the Map
- Use the zoom controls (+/-) on the map (left side) or scroll with your mouse to zoom in and out.
- Click and hold the left mouse button to pan and move around the map.
- Understanding the Map Layers
- Layer Control: Open the Layers menu from the top menu bar.
- Toggle Layers: To select whether you would like to view Community Transport and/or Total Mobility networks, open the 'Layers' menu and check (or uncheck) boxes to show or hide different layers (coverage network types, or assessors) on the map.
- Searching for an Address
- Use the search bar at the top left to enter an address (e.g., “18 Tumate Mahuta Drive, Huntly”).
- A pin will drop on that address.
- You may click on a search result to zoom to that location on the map OR click on the layer overlapping the pin to view the provider area you fall under and see those provider’s details.
- Viewing Multiple Providers
- If an address is served by multiple providers (e.g., “56 Kent Street, Ngāruawāhia”), results will show multiple options.
- Use the side arrow next to 'Clear' to scroll through provider details and find the one that best suits your needs.
